During the early Bronze Age in Europe (1700-1100 BC) and in the Late Bronze Age (1100-500 BC), there were certain recurringbinations of female jewellery in graves and hoards, which created special jewellery sets and dressbinations. The richest among these contained belt-plates in addition to other jewellery. Such belt sets, supplemented with neck-collar rings, arm-rings /arm-spirals and a fibula weremon in high-status burials.
