15th century A.D. A silver fede ringposed of a carinated hoop, expanded at the bezel which is engraved as two clasped hands, upper and lower halves of the hoop with enigmatic Latin inscription. Cf. The Victorian & Albert Museum, accession number 843-1871, for a very similar inscribed fede ring of this date. 2.31 grams, 22.22 mm overall, 19.43 mm internal diameter (approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/4, Europe 20.63, Japan 19) (7/8 in.)
