13th-14th century A.D. A shield-shaped horse harness pendant with knop to base, bearing three crowns in relief, a downward-facing arrow between the two on the top row, suspension loop above. Cf. The Portable Antiquities Scheme, record id. NMS-740B7B and SF-307FDE, for very similar. 11.6 grams, 42 mm (1 5/8 in.) Found Hertfordshire, UK. Possibly the arms of Bury St Edmund's Abbey.
