Il s'installe à Vienne en 1897 pour se perfectionner avec Von Myrbach et von Matsch et il entre en contact avec le mouvement sécessionniste. Il rentre à Trente en 1912 où il fonde avec d'autres artistes le Cercle Artistique du Trentin. C'est à partir de 1918 qu'il commence à peindre des paysages néo-divisionnistes tout en décorant le Palazzo delle Poste de Trente.
