Peintre solitaire et poétique, il privilégie les paysages comme le Lac du Verbano ou celui de Carezza qu'il parvient à transfigurer dans ses toiles en vues oniriques et surnaturelles. De retour à Pise en 1947, il s'installe définitivement à Verbano à partir de 1950.Italian artist born in Pisa, he devoted himself to painting at the beginning of the century and when he arrived in Milan in 1906, he joined Lombard divisionism.
