A mid- to late-19th century oil on canvas after "Judith With The Head Of Holofernes" by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone (Italy, Milan, 1609-1662). Depicting Judith grasping her scimitar and the decapitated head of Assyrian general, Holofernes rendered in dramatic chiaroscuro. The original 17th century work hangs in the National Museum in Warsaw. Not signed.
