此玉圭为平首式，一端有孔，另端为斜刃，周身光素，整器制式规整。玉圭，是古代十分重要的玉制礼器，为瑞信之物。通过呈长条形，上尖下方，也作“珪”。形制大小，因爵位及用途不同而异。《周礼春官典瑞》有大圭、镇圭、桓圭、信圭、躬圭、谷璧、蒲璧、四圭、裸圭之别。早期玉圭是一种礼器，后便形成一种身份的象征，是一种高等级器物。
