16th-17th century A.D. A gold ringposed of a bezel formed of six cells set with early cut diamonds with a later slender D-section hoop. Cf. The British Museum, museum number AF.2015, for similar. 4.61 grams, 22.29 mm overall, 16.85 mm internal diameter ( approximate size British M, USA 6, Europe 12.46, Japan 12) (1 in.). Acquired 1960s-1990s. Late Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister. Apanied by scholarly note TL05437 by Dr Ronald Bonewitz.
