A large dinosaur tooth from Carcharodontosaurus saharicus (African T-rex) with serration and enamel; held in a white card collector's tray. 19 grams, 55 mm (24 grams total, 53 x 53 mm including tray) (2 in. (2 x 2 in.)). Tegana formation of the Sahara Desert, Morocco, North Africa. Acquired 1980s. Old Lincolnshire collection. Carcharodontosaurus saharicus often known as the African T-rex. It was one of the largest predators (larger than its distant North American T-Rex cousin) of all time and is also related to Allosaurus and the South American Giganotosaurus.
