刻款：承志堂刘瑶圃制 笔筒以厚竹镂雕而成，其皮色红艳，包浆温润。雕刻出一幅意趣盎然的“深山携琴访友图”情景。深山幽境，古木参天，小道崎岖，云雾缭绕。传说春秋时伯牙以钟子期为友，所着《高山流水》曲意为钟子期悟出，世称知音。于是伯牙带着琴童携琴访友的题材历代相传，此笔筒正是以此为题所作。
