此木胎观音像表面漆色褪尽，通体为泛白的木胎原色，局部存有白色腻子，为典型的山西地区的造像工艺。观音姿态怡然自得，发髻高挽，宽额丰颐，凤眼微启，于端庄中流露慈祥之情。左手置于膝上，右手支撑。菩萨颈佩璎珞，双肩披帔帛，僧祗于腰间紧束，此种样式盛行与金元时期，雕刻刀法也符合元代造像的大开大合。菩萨下着僧裙，赤足，游戏坐于台座之上，此坐姿称为水月观音。是唐五代开始的一种被文人雅士所追捧的造像形式。A Polychrome Wooden Figure of GuanyinYuan Dynasty
