Renfrew, specifically William (MacKnight) CRAWFURD (died 1855), 7th Baron Cartsburn. He was the son of Thomas MacKNIGHT of Ratho by Christian CRAWFURD (died 1818) 6th Baroness of Cartsburn. Thus he succeeded to the title in 1818. It is believed that he married in 1820 Jane PERRY and had issue that included an elder son Thomas MacKnight CRAWFURD (1820-1909) 8th Baron Cartsburn.
