He studied at both Croyden and St Martins School of Art. He was a member, and the first president, of the Wapping Group of Artists. He exhibited at the RA and his work is now held by several world famous galleries. His works for The British Railways and The General Post Office are instantly recognizable; including the scenes from Cornwall, where he spent his later years.
