Auf quadratischer, profilierter Plinthe vollplastisch gearbeitete Porzellanfigur einer antikisierenden, in tänzerischer Pose stehenden, jungen Frau in roséfarbenem bzw. seegrünem, von kleinen Goldblüten gemustertem Gewand, das Haar von einem goldradierten Band mit Rosenblüten bzw. Weinlaub geschmückt. In den Händen Kastagnetten bzw. ein Tamburin haltend. Polychrome Malerei mit Goldkonturierung. Entw. Ernst Julius Hähnel, um 1880. Modell-Nr. L 171 und L 172. Unw. rest.; Schwertermarke. H. 48 cm - 49 cm. Meissen. Ende 19. Jh.Imposante, bewegte Figuren in klassisch-realistischer Formensprache, welche die Neigung des Bildhauers E. J. Hähnels (1811 - 1891) zur Großplastik erkennen lässt. Nach seinem Studium in Dresden und München, Er wurde 1848 als Professor an die Dresdner Kunstakademie berufen. Er war bekannt für zahlreiche Statuen an Semper-Bauten in Dresden, Denkmälern und Porträts. Mehrere Figuren wurden in verkleinertem Maßstab von der Meissener Porzellan-Manufaktur ausgeformt.Vgl. Kat.
