A pair of Chinese Rose Medallion vases Early/Mid-20th century Each with polychrome and gilt decoration depicting court scenes surrounded by foliate, bat, bird, and butterfly motifs, 2 pieces Each: 25" H x 8.5" W x 8.5" D品相报告: Each overall fair to good condition with shelf wear, scattered minor scuffs, scratches, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. One vase has evidence of extensive restoration, including epoxy to the underside and retouching of the gilt and polychrome throughout. The other vase has evidence of restoration in the form of retouching to the gilt and polychrome surfaces. Color and reflective qualities are not a match, and the retouching is evident for both. A varnish appears to have been applied at a later date to both, inside and out, and has yellowed with age. Lastly, there is rubbed wear to the gilt rim of each.
