汪亞塵（1894--1983），浙江杭州人，原籍安徽太平（今黃山）。1915年曾與陳抱一等人組建中國第一個畫會組織“東方畫會”。1916年東渡日本留學，1921年畢業於東京美術學校西畫系，同年回國，被聘為上海美專教授兼教務主任。1928年至1931年赴歐洲作藝術考察，歸國後曾任新藝術專科學校教務長、新華藝術師範學校校長。1947年赴美講學並舉辦畫展，傳播中國繪畫，歷時30餘年。
