Description East Tennessee, Blount or Knox County, tall tapering cylindrical stoneware pottery jar, with impressed decoration just below the rim above an impressed half-crescent mark "W. Grinstaff" for William Grindstaff. Unknown stamp pattern at the end of the Grindstaff name and a "1" denoting gallon capacity. Unusual circular handle on left side. 12 3/4" H.
