Description Southern Federal eagle inlaid cherry blanket chest, possibly Middle Tennessee or Kentucky, poplar secondary. Rectangular molded top with breadboard ends and original strap hinges above a case with exposed dovetail construction; one full dovetailed drawer with brass bail pulls above a molded base having tall dovetailed bracket feet. Front case lock and drawer both have eagle inlaid escutcheons. 34 3/4" H x 47 1/2" W x 20 3/4" D.
