Biography: Bill Hughes joined an art colony on the East Side of Scottsdale, Arizona in 1960. He painted in a method he coined "actualism" or a technique to draw the viewer into the scene so that they could imagine themselves moving through the landscape. Though the artist is known for his landscape works, he did not paint on location and instead painted combinations of what he had seen, what he had remembered, and what he wanted the canvas to be, resulting in inventive compositions. Courtesy of AskArt & "Southwest Art" May 1982, October 1995.品相报告: Condition Report Overall very good condition. Frame with light wear.出处: Provenance The Tina McWhorter Trust; from the collection of John and Tina McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee.
