Description Santos Barbosa (Texas/Arizona, b. 1946) oil on board impressionistic portrait painting of an elderly Native Amerian man wearing a feathered headdress topped with bison horns and set against a pale yellow background. The figure is identified as "The Great Healer" above the artist's signature, "Santos", in lower right quadrant. American Indian pictographs appear in center right and upper right quadrants. Back of frame is stamped "Hecho in Mexico," "16 x 20," and "Chappel" along with the number "131." Biographical print-out is affixed to verso. Housed in a wood frame with gilt wash, gilt linework, and fabric fillet. Late 20th/early 21st century. Board: 20" H x 16" W. Frame: 27 1/4" H x 23 1/4" W.品相报告: Condition Report Condition of painting is very good. Frame has scattered losses throughout and chips on corners, especially notable in upper right.
