Description Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919) etching and drypoint profile portrait of the artist and fellow Impressionist Berthe Morisot, on cream laid paper. Signed "Renoir" in plate, lower left. Housed in a giltwood frame. Ref. Delteil 4/Stella 4. Plate: 4 1/4 " H x 4" W. Frame: 16" H x 13" W. Note: Renoir is among the most highly regarded artists of the 19th century and an important member of the French avant-garde during this period. Morisot was the first female artist to exhibit with the Impressionists and a friend of Renoir's (and sister-in-law of Edouard Manet). Image is related to Renoir's 1894 painting "Berthe Morisot and Her Daughter Julie Manet," now in a private collection. Original print is c. 1892. Label en verso from London Grafica Arts identifies this impression as a restrike, likely posthumous. Stella notes "some reprints in limited editions." 2nd item: Francisco Goya (Spain, 1746-1828) etching and aquatint, plate 26 from his Los Caprichos (The Caprices) series titled "Ya tienen asiento" (They've Already Got a Seat). Image depicts four figures, two of whom wear chairs on their heads. Identified in supplementary materials as from the posthumous 5th edition (printed 1881-1886) of Los Caprichos published by the Calcografia National of the Real Academia, Madrid, in an edition of 210. Affixed to reverse of frame are one Vincent Price Collection logo sticker; one Vincent Price Collection sticker with GE number (GE 34048), title, and date; one Vincent Price Collection authentication sticker with edition and art historical information; one sticker reading: "Goya, 1746-1828;" and one sticker with handwritten text reading: "GE 34048." Housed under glass in a beaded giltwood frame with cream mat and gold reveal. Etched 1793-1797, printed 1881-1886. Ref.: Harris 61; Delteil 63. Plate: 4 1/2" H x 5 13/16" W. Sight: 8 3/4" H x 6" W. Frame: 20 1/8" H x 15 1/16" W. Note: From the Vincent Price Collection, Sears, Roebuck & Co.品相报告: Condition Report 1st item: Condition is good.
