Description Attributed to Jean Francois LeGillon (France/Belgium, 1739-1797) oil on board pastoral painting depicting a shepherdess seated on a knoll overlooking her livestock, including a goat, sheep, and two cows, at a shallow watering hole with additional cattle in a distant field below a densely clouded sky in the background. Inscription or possible signature "Jean F. Le Gillon", en verso. Housed in a period Rococo giltwood frame with acanthus and foliate flourish corners having a placard with artist, dates, and possible title "Resting the Livestock" affixed to lower sight edge.
