Here's an 18th or early 19th century King's Rose pattern handleless cup and saucer. They have the earlier type of roses. There's also sprigs of leaves. Inside the cup are four little ones. The saucer measures 5 13/16" across and the cup 4 1/16" across. There some light age discoloration and crazing, but they still look nice. The cup outside has two concave surfaces and a round foot. The saucer looks all round from the top, and on the bottom it gets flatter just before the round foot. No chips, nicks, cracks, or hairlines, save in one small 3/4" by 1/4" spot just inside the saucer rim is very old hardened putty used, I imagine, to cover a raw spot.
