Description A Medieval Romanesque limestone fragment depicting the crucifixion of Christ. The fragment dates from around the 10th -11th century and depicts the crucifixion of Christ with Mary Magdalene and Mary of Clopas standing either side of the cross. The fragment interestingly also bares a Celtic lattice boarder. The fragment is in very good condition for its age, with most of the existing details still pronounced. Provenance - Acquired from a private collection in Spain , previously acquired from a market in the south of France in the 1970's.
