This lot may have appeared in St Paul, then disappeared, now it's back again. We are selling this unusual bowl from the Hoi An Hoard wreck. The Hoi An Hoard is a famous collection of wrecked porcelain that was made to be exported by the Annamese culture who lived in present day Vietnam around the 15th and 16th centuries when the Ming dynasty stopped exporting porcelains. This example has simple designs with a prunus branch and some surface oxidation due to being submerged under water for hundreds of years. The dish sits 1 1/2 Inches (3.8 cm) tall and is 5 1/4 Inches (13.4 cm) in diameter.
