提要：释祖观，字觉阿，俗名张京度，号莲民，清元和人。在常州天宁寺与父母及弟同时出家，受具戒。庚申避乱太湖冲山岛，为募捐田百余亩，建仓于山颠，遇饥则赈之，山中人尤感其德。未几示寂，众老少咸顶礼哀悼之。末尾有缺损，具体请参见实物。
