A GROUP OF EIGHT ‘BAJIXIANG’ SQUARE ORNAMENTS, GILT-COPPER REPOUSSÉ, MID-QING DYNASTYChina, c. 1750-1850. Each finely embossed, chased, and incised with one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems (bajixiang): Pair of Fish, Victory Banner, Wheel of Dharma, Parasol, Lotus, Endless Knot, Treasure Vase, and Conch Shell. Each amid scrolling cloud designs within a beaded border.
