Chinese Jun type ware molded stoneware vase, Qianlong period or later, of tall elongated form with high neck, the shoulders decorated with lion masks with rings, the glaze in turquoise with a bronze flash. 7" H x 3.25" W x 2.5" D. Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).
