Irene Zevon (American, 1918-2006) "Freedom of Flight" lithograph in colors depicting an abstract cubist modernposition, signed and dated 1959 lower right, titled lower center, and numbered "8/10" lower left, housed under glass in an ebonized wood frame. Image: 21" H x 14.5" W; frame: 27.25" H x 20.5" W. Note: Nahum Tschacbasov and Irene Zevon were residents of New York City's famed Chelsea Hotel. Tschacbasov was a member of the Expressionist Art group "The Ten" alongside Mark Rothko. He taught at the Art Students League and married Zevon, a former student of his. All works by both artists in this sale were acquired from the estate of Tschacbasov's son.
