A Chinese Duan inkstone with wooden covered box. The thick ink stone of Duan stone from the Duanxi River is extremely fine. The stone nestles into its custom wooden cover, and features a curved, smooth ink area and a finely carved tree on the right with exposed roots and curving over the top with detailed leaves.
