A BLUE AND WHITE ‘HUNDRED ANTIQUES’ U-SHAPED BOWL AND COVER, KANGXI PERIOD
China, 1662-1722. Standing on a short stem and rounded foot, the cylindrical bowl and cover are each painted with two ‘100 antiques’ panels. Between both panels are handles painted blue in the form of two dragon heads gripping a flaming pearl in their mouths. (2)


Provenance:
From a Swedish private collection. The cover with an excerpt of an old catalog entry for the present lot written in Swedish and confirming the dating above.

Condition:
Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities, occasional light scratches, minor frits, few minor chips to the rims, the interior of the cover with fine glaze lines.
