六角彩子與其他藝術家不同，她用手指將顏料直接塗在畫布上，發展出一套自己的繪畫技巧。六角彩子曾分析自己創作特色為：「單純的塗鴉」、「發掘自我的行為」、「小孩的圖畫」。六角彩子曾在日本「第9屆藝祭藝術節」上獲頒極具聲望的「後藤明男賞」獎。於2007年分別在荷蘭、丹麥、日本等地舉辦個展，2008年則在德國、韓國舉辦個展，也參加過許多重要的國際藝術展，被看好是日本藝術界「下一位奈良美智」。
