The first a white jade snuff bottle carved as a melon group, the side walls decorated with a curving branch bearing leaves and an additional melon; the second a lobed melon toggle converted as a snuff bottle, the natural russet skin in the white jade utilized to present the leaves and tendril scrolls (staining); the third a white jade toggle carved as a duck and lotus; the fourth a russet and off-white jade toggle, modeled as a recumbent qilin with a stack of books on its tail; the last a hardstone carving of a lion and its cub.
