Three stone snuff bottles


The first converted from a white jade toggle, carved as a melon group issuing from undercut woody stems bearing leaves and scrolling tendrils, with two squirrels crawling on the larger melon (soiling, staining, tiny chips); the second a white stone bottle in the form of a lobed melon, the side walls decorated with leafy branches and scrolling tendrils (small chips, mouth rim polished down; the third an gray agate bottle 'wrapped' within a shield-form case with incised key-fret borders (pinpoint nicks). 1 7/8 to 2in (4.8 to 5.1cm) high
