18th centurySturdily potted rounded sides and a lipped rim, painted with shades of underglaze blue in a 'heaped and piled' technique with composite flower heads issuing from twisting leafy stems in a center roundel framed by a classic leaf scroll band and repeating below a key-fret meander along the cavetto and exterior walls, the celadon-tinged glaze stopping along the base of the foot to expose the unglazed white fabric across the foot pad and recessed base (repaired and repainted).14 1/4in (36.2cm) diameter
