20th centuryEach neatly painted in harmonious colors: the larger of double gourd shape with butterflies flying amid flowering branches, the recessed base bearing a square four-character Qianlong seal mark in standard script; the smaller of baluster form, painted with bamboo, gourds, flowers and a garden rock on the edge of a pond where a goldfish swims nearby, the recessed base bearing a four-character Hongxian mark in iron red standard script. 16 3/4 and 9 1/2in (42.5 and 24cm) high
