这件盝顶盒呈长方形，是仿照汉代漆器的造型而来，上下子母口套合，设计精巧。盖顶绘折枝牡丹为主题的花卉纹饰开光，中层一周绘胭脂红缠枝纹，外围绕一圈锦地纹，四边布置四处小型开光，内绘白地莲枝纹。盒盖四壁为黑彩缠枝花草纹。盒身四壁饰白地黑彩缠枝花草纹，并分别与布置四处海棠形开光，内绘四组折枝牡丹纹。底部施白釉，绘蓝料折枝花卉。此盖盒整体花卉纹饰画工精细，填色细腻，纹饰布局周密，色彩艳丽，形制典雅，极富欣赏性。
