Lacquered
Cabinets:













Two
large
black
lacquered
cabinets.
The
interiors
have
two
drawers.
They
are
lavishly
decorated
in
scenes
of
village
life
by
the
river.
Houses,
trees,
and
mountains
in
the
distance
decorate
the
cabinet
doors.
The
top
edges
are
decorated
in
gold
meander
border,
the
verticals
are
flower
and
tendril
patterns.
The
sides
have
scalloped
reserves
of
flower
and
tendril
patterns
surrounded
a
central
lotus
blossom
with
a
pair
of
phoenixes
top
and
bottom.
Bats
flank
the
sides
of
the
blossom.
The
reserves
are
defined
by
gold
diapered
patterns.
