The large Buddhist lion is carved recumbent with a smiling alert face and a cub at her side. The stone is of a rich blue tone with pale and golden flecks. The carving sits on a gilt bronze stand decorated with champlevé enamel lotus and mask decoration to the feet. The upper surface is decorated with chased scrolling flowers.

Condition: The carving appears to be in overall good condition, with light surface wear and natural veins to the stone.
The stand with small dents and nicks to the enamels.
