The bowl is decorated to the exterior with four scenes from the Romance of the Western Chamber, Xixiangji, all below a diaper border enclosing flowers to the rim. The interior is decorated with a roundel enclosing three boys at play in a fenced garden, all below a diaper band to the everted flat rim.

Condition: Appears to be in overall good condition, apart from a small chip to the foot (approx. 0.3 cm. wide).
