The Lama is cast seated in padmasana wearing a monk's hat and long robes. His hands are held in dharmachakra mudra with two lotus scrolls beside him, one opening to support a book and the other a dagger. He is seated on a double lotus base. The reverse is inscribed 'Daoguang ershi nian jiu yue chu yi ri fan zao', which made be translated as 'made on the first day of the ninth month of the twentieth year of Daoguang by Pan'.
Condition: With minor wear and dents.
One lotus stem is missing.
A small patch to the reverse of the figure (approx. 1.5 cm.)
No baseplate.
