The dish is decorated with a central roundel enclosing a qilin standing on a rocky outcrop amongst waves, surrounded by two dragons and two phoenix amongst scrolling flowers. The rim is decorated with an arrow-head band interspersed with the Eight Buddhist Emblems. The underside is decorated with a ruyi-head band and a lappet band, and the base with an apocryphal Daoguang seal mark.
Condition: Two small chips to the rim (max. approx. 0.2 cm.).
Some minor flake chips to the enamels.
