The exterior is decorated to each side with large peonies, poppies, and asters, all below a trellis band at the rim. The cover is decorated with iron-red flowers with a further trellis band to the edge of the rim, all surmounted by a lotus bud finial.
Condition: The handle and finial have been restuck.
A chip to the spout (approx. 1 cm.) with an associated short hairline crack.
Chips to the rim (one chip infilled approx. 0.5 cm.), foot rim, edge of cover.
Wear to the enamels and gilding as expected.
