The jardinere is decorated on the exterior with leafy branches bearing large blossoms including, peonies and hydrangea, all reserved on a vivid purple ground. Just below the rim is inscribed with the mark 'Dayazhai', beside an iron-red zhuanshu seal mark reading 'Tiandi yijiachun' surrounded by confronting dragons chasing a flaming pearl. The interior is covered in a turquoise glaze, and the base with a four-character 'yongqing changchun' mark in iron red.
