Description: 19th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Lapis Lazuli Buddha's hand Citroen sculpture. The Buddha's hand citron (Citrus Chirocarpus) derives its Chinese name FoShou and the alternative English name of "Finger Citron" from its odd shape. It symbolizes "Much Happiness" and is used as an offering for the altar during the Chinese New Year. The Lapis Lazuli stone carving is smooth, show attractive royal-blue color with sporadic silver inclusions. Displayed preciously upon yellow metallic silk covered hard-cushion stand.
