The blue and white jar is of baluster form, the exterior depicts flowers and vines below scrolling lappet band, the rim edge gild in gold color, bottom unglazed.|Ming Dynasty period.||Height: 6 in (15.2 cm) Diameter: 5 in (12.7 cm)|明 青花海撈瓷|直口，短頸，豐肩，至底部微撇，仰蓮紋環繞頸部。肩部圍繞蓮瓣紋中，為此重器的通體圖案纏枝牡丹紋。宣德皇帝在位期間時值後人所稱的“仁宣之治”時期，國家欣欣向榮，呈現出一種富強之勢，所繪牡丹，正恰合此意，也乃實至名歸。此重器保存完整，較為難得。
