16th centuryThe deep bowl decorated with four prancing Buddhist lions of varying hues, chasing brocade balls amongst flames and above waves, the base and interior with lotus flower motifs, the well with a frolicking carp, later wood stand.22.5cm (8 3/4in) diam. (2).
