A BRONZE KETTLE AND COVER.17th Century.With a compressed globular body, the shoulder flanked by a wide slightly tapering cylindrical spoutthe cover with a crenelated rim, hinged overhead handle. (2)15.5cm H.2.266g.十七世紀 銅水壺連蓋 Examples of surviving Chinese bronze kettles appear to be extremely rare, however, an example with similar handle and spout may be found in the painting by Chou Ying (1494 – 1552) entitled Song Xi Lu Hua Tu, currently in the collection of the Jilin Provincial Museum.
