A CHINESE BRONZE WINE EWER AND COVER.17th to 18th Century.Of rectangular form, with the pear-shaped body rising from a high everted foot to a slender waisted neck, the spout emerging from a dragon’s mouth and the tubular handle fixed to the neck with a dragon ornament, the neck decorated with bats above a trailing ribbon and the body with a medallion enclosing figures. (2)25cm H.550g.十七至十八世紀 銅人物園景圖紋執壺 The present ewer relates closely to examples in precious metals including a Ming silver ewerpublished in Bo Gyllensvard, Chinese Gold & Silver in the Carl Kempe Collection, 1953, cat no 151, and a gold ewer dating to the Qianlong era.
