Rare Fine Kirman 'Ravar' Pictorial-Rug (Persian Kings), South Persia, late 19th century, wool/cotton, approx. 245 x 147 cm, condition: 2-3 (professionally cleaned), fine quality pictorial-rug from the master workshops in Kirman, fine 'Ravar' knotting, harmonious natural dyes with light-green tones, very rare Kirman depicting of the persian kings from the last centuries like Darius, Houshang, Shah-Abbas, Ahmad-Shah, Anur-Shirvan-Adel, Agha-Mohammad-Qajar, Keymars, Nader-Shah, Quimars and more, all figures have numbers (cartouche-border with the numbers and names of the figures), comparable pieces with king design is in the museum of Farsch in Tehran, Iran, absolutely rare, (Literature: J.Iten-Maritz, Enzyklopädiedes Orientteppichs, p.247).
